Leadership
Dr. Mickael Mheidle has been with SPC since its foundation in 2006, leading its strategic direction with particular emphasis on innovation and world class production.
Dr. Mheidle is widely considered one of the preeminent developers of digital ink technologies for both textile and non-textile applications. Before joining SPC he served as head of new business applications for Ciba Specialty Chemicals, where he focused on developing new solutions for such applications as inkjet printing of textiles and digital photography output.
While at Ciba, Dr. Mheidle coordinated with partners Reggiani and Scitex Vision/Hewlett Packard in the development and marketing of DReAM, the first industrial digital printing system.
After receiving his Ph.D. in engineering science from the University of Haute Alsace, France, Dr. Mheidle began his career in 1984 as an R&D manager for a French research center and then as international technical sales manager for a petrochemical company. He joined Ciba-Geigy AG in Basel, Switzerland in 1988. From 1988 until October 2006 he worked, respectively, for Ciba-Geigy, Novartis, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, and Huntsman.
Thomas Heger has been with SPC since its foundation in 2006 and has been co-directing the company´s strategy and operations for over 10 years.
Mr. Heger has considerable experience in finance, business development and strategic marketing.
Before joining SPC he served in a dual role as Head of Strategic Marketing of the Textile Chemicals and Dyes Division and Global Business Manager Ink Jet at Ciba Specialty Chemicals, where he was actively involved in setting the strategic direction and the growth of Ciba´s inkjet business.
Prior to that he served as Head of Finance and M&A for Ciba´s Textile Chemicals Division in Switzerland.
Prior to his 20 year career in the chemical industry, Mr Heger held various leadership positions at German multinationals BMW Rolls-Royce AeroEngines and Metallgesellschaft AG.
Mr. Heger holds degrees in Business Administration and Finance from universities in Germany and England. Throughout his career, he has lived and worked in several European countries, the United States and Asia.
